Canadian collapsible aluminum and laminate tubes manufacturer Montebello Packaging has selected Infor VISUAL and Infor PLM Discrete software products, in a bid to speed up its production.

Montebello Packaging will integrate both the Infor products with its existing Computer-aided Design (CAD) system. The products help to automate processes for better production and reduced order delivery times to customers by providing a unified data repository.

According to Infor, connectivity between both the products and the CAD system will enable automated data capture, storage and sharing across the enterprise to aid production and delivery. Montebello can also streamline internal processes, by reducing manual entry requirements.

With tighter integration of the systems, current and past product information can be retrieved, promoting decision-making and management of production as well as change control processes.

Montebello Packaging supply chain director Hannah Labuschagne said as the company's engineers have no central repository for formulas and product development information currently, it is time consuming to gather the needed data to request changes and make changes to processes.

"Using Infor VISUAL and Infor PLM Discrete, our engineers will have the tools they need to make better decisions and bring new products to market faster through easy access to consolidated manufacturing information," Labuschagne said.

Infor PLM Discrete provides the flexibility to help organizations develop, configure and quote new products quickly allowing managers to improve product creation efficiency.

Each Infor solution has enhanced tracking capabilities and will allow Montebello to improve compliance with regulatory standards from its pharmaceutical customers.
