Taiwan-based LED driver IC vendors including On-Bright Electronics, Macroblock and Silergy have landed an influx of short lead-time orders recently, with order visibility extending to the first quarter of 2014, according to industry sources.

Although On-Bright is expected to see its revenues slip 10% sequentially in December, the company's fourth-quarter sales will continue to stay at a relatively high level, indicated the sources.

Despite the impact of seasonality and reduced work days in February, On-Bright's shipments will also remain robust in the first quarter of 2014, powered by increasing demand for its LED driver ICs and mobile power supply devices, added the sources.

Silergy's shipments of smartphone-use power management ICs and LED driver ICs will also remain in high gear in December 2013 and the first quarter of 2014, sustaining continued sales growth for the company, said the sources.

Macroblock is expected to see its revenues rebound to over NT$200 million (US$6.75 million) in December, buoyed by shipments of high-end LED driver IC parts, revealed the sources.
